Buyer's FAQ
1. Is searching for a horse free on the TWH Network Web site?
Yes, there is no charge for searching for a horse.
2. How do I search for a horse?
There are two ways. First, you can visit each of our member Web sites listed down the left side of our site. Or, you can visit our Classifieds section. Click on the Classifieds button on the top navigational bar. The Classifieds page has horses separated by gender (gelding, mare, etc.)
3. Do you offer “want to buy” listings?
Yes, our want to buy ads are free. Please click here to get more information about posting a want ad.
4. Who do I contact if I want more information on a horse?
The contact person for each horse is listed on each horse’s ad. Keep in mind that TWH Network/Shawn Bryant does act as agent for some sellers, but not all of them. We, however, will not handle the final transaction. That’s between horse owner and buyer.
5. What if I would like to return a horse that I bought on the TWH Network?
The terms of any transaction are strictly between buyers and sellers. We suggest that you confirm, up front, the terms of any sale including whether or not the horses may be returned.
6. What’s the difference between searching the Stallion Service section versus searching in the Classifieds section?
The Stallion Service section is exclusively for stallions standing at stud and advertises stallion services. The Classifieds section is for any horse which is actually for sale.
7. Who can be listed in your Directory?
Anyone can list a farm, stable, service, etc. in our Directory. The listing is free, however we do require a reciprocal link before we will add your web address to your Directory listing.
8. How can I contact you?
If you have any questions or comments about the site, or need help with any of the horse services, please contact Shawn Bryant. She can be reached by email at shawn@twhnetwork.com or by phone at (606) 549-1669.
9. What if I have another question?
If you don't see the answer to your question listed here, please send us an email at shawn@twhnetwork.com and we will get back with you as soon as possible.
Seller's FAQ
1. How do I become a member of the Tennessee Walking Horse Network?
Web members are any individual or business who has purchased a Web site from the Tennessee Walking Horse Network. Those listed only in the Classified or Stallion Service sections are considered participants but, do not receive all of the benefits Web members receive.
2. What is the benefit of having my own Web site?
Reach your customer base: Most horse owners and riders have PCs at home and nearly all of them have PCs at work. They are increasingly using the Internet to find information.
Practical marketing & communication: Having a Web site is now considered as common as having a listing in the Yellow Pages. It is very helpful to add your Web address to your business cards and print advertising. Simply having an ad on one of the large, multi-breed sites may make it nearly impossible for someone to find your horse among thousands. And, all of your horses will be listed in our classifieds section with a link back to your farm, giving you the best of both worlds.
Increase your revenues: Web sites have the potential to increase your revenues as they serve not only as an advertising and marketing vehicle, but also as a direct link to existing and prospective customers.
Effective competition: Those companies who do not join us in cyberspace will likely fall behind their competitors who do.
Simple to use: With TWH Network having a site is simple. We maintain your site so you have more time to spend with your horse.
3. What length of time to Web site memberships last?
TWH Network Web site memberships are good for 12 months. Please see our Rates section for details.
4. Do you take a commission on the sale of a horse?
There is a $100 sales fee due when a horse sells. As sales agent, TWH Network will answer phone calls and emails from those interested in purchasing a horse from you; however, we will not be involved in the actual transaction of said horse(s). It is the responsibility of each seller to forward the sales fee to TWH Network..
5. How do I take the best photo of my horse?
Click here for our Photo Tips.
6. How can I send you photographs of my horses?
The best way to send photographs is to email them in JPEG format to shawn@twhnetwork.com.
Picture Requirements:
- The size of the photograph should be no larger than 6" x 10".
- The resolution of the photograph should 72 pixels per inch for pictures to be used on the website. If you are ordering distribution flyers, make sure that the resolution is 150 pixels per inch.
- The format of the picture should be a JPEG. The file extension should be .jpg or .jpeg
- The name of the picture should be the full name of your horse in lower case letters. For example, ohcaroline.jpg or pushersdirtymoney.jpeg. Multiple photos of the same horse must have different names. For example, ohcaroline.jpg and ohcarolinehead.jpg.
- Please consult your digital camera or scanner software for more information.
7. What is a JPG? How do I convert my photo to a JPG?

8. Can I mail you photographs? Do I get my photos back?

Site Troubleshooting
1. Why does a box pop up at the top of my window saying that Internet Explorer has blocked active content?
Sometimes a small box may pop up at the top of your screen that reads "To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has restricted this file from showing active content that could access your computer. Click here for more options..."
Active content refers to any programming code that is interactive or changes according to what buttons you click on. On the TWH Network site, we use active content to rotate through the spotlight ad pictures each time you visit a new page or refresh your current page, and to provide interactive pop-up menus to make the site easier to navigate.
While you can still navigate through the site with active content turned off, we recommend allowing active content to run on our site to provide the best experience. We can assure you that our active content will not give us access to your computer, will not give you a virus or other harmful program, will not install any programs without your permission, and will only be used to allow you to view the spotlight ads and pop-up menus on our site.
To fix this problem:
- Click on the box that reads "To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has restricted this file from showing active content that could access your computer. Click here for more options..."
- A menu choice will show that reads "Allow Blocked Content." Click on it.
- Another window will pop up that reads, "Are you sure you want to let this file run active content?" Click on Yes.
- You should now be able to view the spotlight ads on the left side of the screen and the interactive pop-up menus.
2. Why can't I see the spotlight ads or popup menus?
Please see the question above or click here for more information.
